Assessment Consultant: Dames and Moore <br /> The underground tanks were removed on October 21, 1986. Some <br /> minor soil contamination was removed and aerated onsite. <br /> Approximately two feet of soil was removed from the bottom of <br /> the north tank pit. The south tank pit was not contaminated. <br /> Dames and Moore was contracted to conduct the second phase of <br /> site investigation work . They installed four new monitoring <br /> wells and collected soil samples onsite. One monitoring well <br /> was installed offsite, on the east side of Fifth Street. Dames <br /> and Moore 's report is due May 10, 1987. <br /> Beacon <br /> 1705 Second Street <br /> Selma, CA <br /> Env. Assessment Consultant: Applied GeoSystems <br /> Remediation Consultant: Applied GeoSystems <br /> This station was previously owned by Kayo but was sold to <br /> Beacon. Kayo is responsible for the existing contamination at <br /> the station. <br /> Applied GeoSystems has completed the installation of five soil <br /> borings which have been converted to monitoring wells. A <br /> remediation plan was submitted on March 10, 1987. The plan <br /> consists of a groundwater recovery system and an air stripper. <br /> Verbal approval for the permits to operate the system have been <br /> given and Applied GeoSystems is in the process of acquiring the <br /> written permits. - It is hoped that remediation will start by <br /> June 1, 1987 . <br /> Fast Gas <br /> 153 East Eleventh Street <br /> Tracy, CA <br /> Env.
