ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORK PLAN
DOUGLAS
900 S. Cherokee Lane
Lodi, CA.
The following is an environmental assessment work plan for the Douglas
station on South Cherokee Lane in Lodi, CA. The work plan consists of
target dates and the work which is to be accomplished. Also included in
the work plan are the supporting technical reports requested by the Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.
PHASE I
TARGET DATE ACTIONS
August 20 & 21, 1985 Monitoring wells 13 and 14 were installed
to a depth of approximately 75 feet.
Initial monitoring indicated no free pro-
duct in either well but hydrocarbon odors
were detected during the drilling. (See
Attachment A. Attachment B contains
drilling logs for M14-10 through MW-12 as
installed on July 7, 1985.)
August 27, 1985 Water samples were taken from MW-10, MW-11,
MW-12, MW-13 and MW-14, by Twining Labora-
tories, Inc. The analysis shall include
the amount of total hydrocarbon, benzene,
toluene, xylene and tetraethyl lead.
Groundwater has descended below MW-1, MW-8
and MW-9 therefore, a sample could not be
taken. No free product was observed in
any of the monitoring wells encountering
groundwater..
Monitoring will continue on a weekly basis.
In addition to the above action, inventory/daily sales reports are included as
Attachment C. The inventory reports are the store master report for the first
and the last days of May, June, July and August 1985. As the accompanying Light
Oil Inventory Control Procedure explains, each storage tank is gauged daily and
the daily sales are calculated to determine the cumulative gains or losses.
However, for the purpose of this report, only the beginning and the ending days
of the stated months are given.
