Johnso <br /> August 21, 1985 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Therefore, each monitoring well encountering groundwater shall have <br /> the depth of groundwater measured, product thickness recorded, free <br /> product bailed (as necessary) , and the groundwater gradient <br /> determined for the site. Monitoring shall be completed for each <br /> site on a weekly basis. The results will be shared with the <br /> appropriate county agency and your Regional Board contact. <br /> 2. Water samples are to be taken from each groundwater monitoring well <br /> not having a measurable amount of product, the week of August 26, <br /> 1985, and the results reported by September 20, 1985. The analysis <br /> shall include: total hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene, xylene, and <br /> tetraethyl lead. <br /> 3. Specific, phased work plans for each site were discussed and agreed <br /> upon at the August 15 meeting in Stockton. The work plans were <br /> implemented this week and the results shall be forwarded to your <br /> office. In addition, each site will have a written phased work plan <br /> i". developed which shall include: (a) the drilling logs and a location <br /> diagram of the additional monitoring wells installed, (b) the <br /> inventory records of the past month for gasoline and diesel fuels, <br /> (c) the approximate location of proposed groundwater wells with <br /> I` subsequent well location to be confirmed pending the latest data <br /> ' gathered. Target dates shall be included for each phase of the work <br /> plans. <br /> 4. Remedial action plans shall be developed for each site to <br /> address groundwater and soil decontamination. An approximate cost <br /> shall also be included with the plans. The remedial actions will be <br /> the best applicable technology to resolve the levels of <br /> contamination found at each site. <br /> The remedial actions agreed to at the August 15 meeting in Stockton <br /> are scheduled to be implemented the week of August 26, 1985, for the <br /> Fast Gas station on 800 East Hwy. 12 in Lodi. The other three <br /> locations in question will have remedial action plans developed <br /> following the completion of the work plans agreed upon in Stockton. <br /> 5. The additional information on the recent monitoring wells installed <br /> and the available groundwater data will be included in the work <br /> plans described in (3) above. <br /> 6- The stations currently being evaluated for contamination of soil or <br /> j groundwater in the Central Valley shall have the assessment reports <br /> forwarded to your office as soon as the outstanding data is compiled <br /> from the respective consultants. <br /> Douglas/Kayo intends to resolve the problems discovered at each station it <br /> currently operates in the Central Valley Region as soon as possible. The <br /> phased work plans agreed upon at our Stockton meeting will assist in expediting <br />
