Cherokee Lane
Lodi, CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division
(PHS/EHD) has reviewed your letters dated January 30, 1997 and Manch 4,
1997 and the "First Quarter 1997 Ground Water Monitoring Report" dated
February 28, 1997, prepared by EI Dorado Environmental, Inc. for the above
referenced site. In addition, PHS/EHD has discussed the site with Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board staff.
Groundwater levels are rising so groundwater samples should be obtained from
the monitoring wells in May 1997 and the samples should be analyzed for the
same constituents that were analyzed for in February 1997. There is still
confusion about two monitoring wells originally being designated as MW25 and
that a boring log for MW27 does not exist. It should be clarified if one of the
monitoring wells designated as MW25 originally was changed in designation to
MW27. Also a mass balance calculation for TPH-diesel initially released and
the amount remaining in place at the site should be provided.
After the above information is submitted, an evaluation will be made as to
whether any further action is required for this site.
If you have any questions contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
Site Mitigation Unit
c: CVRWQCB - Beth Thayer
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
