(Della), has been authorized by Ultramar Inc. (Ultramar), to
conduct an investigation of the ground water beneath and adjacent to Beacon Station No.695 located -
at 900 South Cherokee Lane,San Joaquin County,Lodi,California. The is of the site is shown
} in Figure 1. The purpose of this investigation is to monitor the ground water levels and the extent and
distribution of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents in the ground water beneath the site. This tetter
report contains the results of the quarterlyground water monitoring and sampling performed at the site.
Ground water levels were measured and ground water samples were collected for anatysie on June 19
and 28, 1991, Field work conducted at the site by Delta was performed
methods and procedures described in Enclosure A in accordance with the field
A total of 23 wells are present at the site and ground water was measured in monitorin wells
MW-18,MW-20,MW-Z1,MW-24,MW-25,MW-27 and recovery well RW-I,in June 1991 (Table 1).
Ground water was not present in the remaining monitoring wells at the site.
Ground water was present at the site between approximately 65 and 69 feel below the surface during
the site visits in June 1991. Ground water elevation contours bared on the June 19, 1991, data are
illustrated in Figure 2. These contours indicate the inferred ground water flow direction is Wward the
southeast(Figure 2),with an average hydraulic gradient of approximately 0.007-foot per foot. Ground
water level data collected fretn each monitoring well at
Enclosure B. esthe site since January 1988 is Presented in
Ground water samples collected on June 19 and 28, 1991,were submitted to a California certified
laboratory to determine the concentration of tenzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, acid xylenes(BTEX)and
total petroleurn hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline using U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and
Department of Health Services approved tnelhods. A summary of these ground water sample analytical
results is presented in Table 2. A dissolved benzene concentration map based on the June 199I ground
water sample analytical results is illustraled it;Figure 4, A summary of previous groundwater analytical
resells, including June 1991 is p g
- ; — sheets are pr=nlcd in Enclosure DenCopies of he June 199osure C---Copies
g ground wat r samplehe field nlaborat ry reports
- ---- — --
are presented in Enclosure E
;a
Delta Delivers Solutions
