I< <br /> MAY 2 2 'M <br /> ENVIRONMEIN Tref JIFF 3330 Data Drive <br /> + 1 H Suite 100 <br /> Delta PCERM!T/,,L., +r Rancho Cordova CA 95670 <br /> Envcronntenta! 9161638 2085 <br /> Consultants,Inc FAX 9161638 8385 <br /> May 5, 1992 <br /> Mr. Kenneth Earnest <br /> Ultramar Inc <br /> 525 West Third Street <br /> Hanford, California 93230 <br /> 1 <br /> Subject Quarterly Monitoring Report, First Quarter 1992 <br /> Beacon Station No 695 <br /> 900 South Cherokee Lane, Lodi, California <br /> Delta Project No 40-91-831 <br /> Dear Mr Earnest <br /> Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc (Delta), has been authorized by Ultramar Inc (Ultramar) to <br /> conduct a hydrogeologlc investigation at Beacon Station No 695 located at 900 South Cherokee Lane, <br /> San Joaquin County, Lodi, California (Figures 1 and 2) The purpose of this investigation Is to <br /> monitor the ground water levels and the distribution of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents In the <br /> ground water beneath the site This letter report contains the results of the quarterly ground water <br /> monitoring and sampling performed at the site on March 4, 1992 Field work conducted at the site <br /> by Delta was performed in accordance with the field methods and procedures described in - <br /> Enclosure A <br /> SUMMARY <br /> A total of 23 ground water monitoring wells are present at the site Monitoring wells MW-1, MW-8, <br /> MW-16, MW-17, MW-18, MW-20, MW-21, MW-22, MW-23, MW-24, MW-25, MW-27 and <br /> recovery well RW-1, contained measurable ground water on March 4, 1992 Ground water was not <br /> present in the other wells at the site The depth to ground water was approximately 65 to 67 5 feet <br /> below the top of the well casings Ground water levels in the monitoring wells have Increased <br /> approximately 1 5 feet since the previous monitoring event in December 1991 A summary of <br /> ground water levels recorded at the site since June 1991 is Included In Table 1 Enclosure B contains <br /> ground water level data since January 1988 <br /> Ground water elevation contours based on the March 4, 1992, data Indicate an inferred direction of <br /> ground water flow to the south-southeast, as Illustrated in Figure 3 The hydraulic gradient across <br /> the site was approximately 0 004 The Inferred ground water flow direction and hydraulic gradient <br /> are consistent with previous data Water level measurements for monitoring wells MW-8 and MW-22 <br /> were not used In constructing the ground water contour map Monitoring well MW-8 contained <br /> 0.06 foot free product and monitoring well MW-22 had an anomalously high ground water level <br /> The total depth of monitoring well MW-22 Is approximately 59 feet below grade, therefore, the water <br /> level measured In this well Is not considered representative of conditions at the site <br /> Delta Delivers Solutions <br />
