�f <br /> Y <br /> i <br /> t� <br /> Y3330 Data Drive <br /> Delta Ranc 100 <br /> Rancho CCA 95670 <br /> £nv�ronmentai 9161638 2085085 <br /> Consultants,Inc FAX 9161638 8385 <br /> May 10, 1994 <br /> 1 Mr Kenneth Earnest <br /> Ultramar Inc <br />' 525 West Third Street <br /> Hanford, California 93230 <br />' Subject Well Installation Report <br /> Former Beacon Station No 695 <br /> 900 South Cherokee Lane <br /> Lodi, California <br /> Delta Project No D093-915 <br /> Dear Mr Earnest <br /> Delta Environmental Consultants,Inc (Delta), was authorized by UItramar Inc (Ultramar)to conduct <br /> a hydrogeologic investigation at Former Beacon Station No 695, located at 900 South Cherokee <br /> Lane, Lodi, San Joaquin County, California The field work included installation of eleven soil <br /> vapor extraction wells, three ground water monitoring wells, and one ground water recovery well <br /> This letter report describes the work performed and presents the analytical results of soil sample <br />' analyses The location of the site is shown in Figure 1, and site features are shown in Figure 2 <br /> Site Background Information <br /> The site has been operated as a gasoline service station since the early 1940's Ultramar purchased <br /> the property in 1989 and began operating the site as a Beacon gasoline service station Investigations <br /> 1 of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and ground water at the site began in 1985 A total of 27 ground <br /> water monitoring wells, recovery wells, and/or soil vapor extraction wells had been installed at the <br /> site prior to the current investigation A soil vapor extraction system has been in operation since <br /> July 1991 Ultramar sold the property in February 1994, the new owners plan to re-open the site <br />' as a Texaco station <br />' There were four underground fuel storage tanks in use while the site was operated as a Beacon <br /> station The tanks were used to store regular unleaded, unleaded plus, supreme unleaded gasoline, <br /> and diesel fuel During removal of the four tanks in January 1994 additional product distribution <br /> L pipes and eleven more underground storage tanks were discovered These tanks were apparently used <br /> by previous owners of the site and their existence were unknown to Ultramar All tanks at the site <br /> were removed in January 1994 Removal of the underground tanks was described in a Delta report <br /> entitled Underground Storage Tank Removal and Soil Sampling, dated March 18, 1994 Further <br /> research into the history of the site has been presented in a Delta report entitled Review of Historic <br /> Aerial Photographs and Maps, dated March 22, 1994 <br /> Delta Delvers Solutions <br />
