Weber Ave., Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Subject: Workplan for Soil Boring Investigation
Former Tiger Lines Truck Yard, 1430 Cherokee Lane, Lodi, CA(Figure 1)
Dear Mr. Knoll:
We are writing on behalf of LTS Rentals to present a workplan for a Phase II investigation at the
subject property. The site previously operated multiple above ground storage tanks (ASTs) in a
containment unit (Figure 2). The proposed work is intended to evaluate whether soil and
groundwater have been impacted by previous site activities. In addition, if contamination is
present, the proposed work is intended to delineate the vertical and horizontal extent of the
contamination. The work is in anticipation of the possible lease of the property.
Workplan
We propose to conduct the following scope of work:
• Utilize C-57 licensed Fisch Environmental to advance four(4) soil borings to maximum depths
of 50-55 feet below grade using a direct push drill rig. Upon completion the borings will be
backfilled to the surface with neat cement grout. The proposed boring locations are shown on
Figure 2.
• Collect soil samples at five-foot intervals for lithologic identification, field screening, and
possible laboratory analysis. In addition, one groundwater sample will be collected from each
boring.
• Submit selected soil samples (up to five per boring) and groundwater samples to a state-
certified laboratory for analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) and diesel
(TPHd) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX). Selected samples will
also be analyzed for gasoline oxygenate additives.
All work will be conducted in accordance with Ground Zero's Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Plan(Attachment A) and our Site Specific Health and Safety Plan (Attachment B).
