The owner or operator of a hazardous waste tank shall obtain a written <br /> assessment reviewed and certified by an independent,qualified, professional engineer, registered in California <br /> attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing, and treating of <br /> hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably designed. Immediately have an <br /> assessment prepared for the 800 gallon used oil tank. Submit a schedule showing when this will be accomplished to <br /> the EHD. When the hazardous waste tank assessment has been completed, submit a copy of the assessment to <br /> the EHD for review. <br /> This is a Class I violation. <br /> 507 CCR 66265.195 Failed to conduct daily inspections of hazardous waste tank system and maintain records onsite. <br /> The hazardous waste tank inspection sheet was not available for review during the inspection. According to the <br /> Foreman, Danny Bruno,the inspection sheet was misplaced and lost. <br /> The following items are required to be inspected at least daily: <br /> 1.overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3. data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5. for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br /> Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system,and document the items inspected. <br /> Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> FA0023546 PR0541119 SCO01 05/22/2019 <br /> EHD 22-02 Rev.09/27/2018 Page 7 of 8 Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br /> 1868 E.
