American Paving Systems, Inc. <br /> Fuel delivery Instructions <br /> 1. Confirm delivery of fuel to the fuel storage system ensuring the correct product is <br /> transferred into the proper tank. <br /> 2. Determine that the quantity of fuel on site and the fuel amount to be delivered into the fuel <br /> storage systems. Ensure the transfer will not cause an overflow of the fuel storage systems. <br /> 3. There is a NO SMOKING policy on site. Signs are appropriately posted. <br /> 4. Keep any fire source away from tanks and used oil transfer vehicles. <br /> 5. Set hand brake or lock tires while transferring fuel into the certified fuel storage tanks. <br /> 6. No fuel storage container is to be filled beyond 90 percent full. <br /> 7. Driver and/or employee must remain within 25 feet and in full view of all the filling or <br /> "~ loading points during the fuel transfer. <br /> S. Engine will be shut off, unless it is used to power the pumping system. <br /> 9. Ensure that all transfer lines/hoses are secure and leak free prior to departure and ensure <br /> that the fuel storage area is secure prior to leaving. <br /> 10. Examine and ensure that all valves, hoses, connections, fittings and the lowermost drains <br /> on the vehicles are secure prior to departure and free from any leafs. <br /> 11. This fuel transfer process will be uniform for every shift and every transfer of fuel into or <br /> out of the fuel storage area. <br /> 12. After and during all fuel transfers from the fuel storage units care will be maintained to <br /> ensure that no fuel is spilt and no system is filled beyond 90 percent. <br /> 13. All hoses and nozzles will be secured and returned to their storage area when not in use. <br /> 14. Only trained and or certified personal are allowed to access the fuel storage area.No public <br /> access is permitted. <br /> 12 <br />
