The site is currently a rail yard and maintenance
facility located at 1645 Cherokee Road in Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2).
1.0 PROJECT OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE OF WORK
The objectives of this work plan are to: (1) clarify and resubmit data previously presented
in the RAR(originally submitted by CLS Environmental Services (CLS) on December 12,
2oo6) in a manner which identifies potential data gaps, and; (2) propose the appropriate
field activities to further characterize the extent of hydrocarbons in both soil and
groundwater.
The scope of work for this assessment includes the following:
• Advancement of four(4) exploratory borings to assess the lateral distribution of
hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater.
• Collection of soil and grab groundwater samples from the exploratory borings for
analysis at a state-certified laboratory.
• Preparation of a final technical report documenting soil boring and sampling
activities, groundwater sampling procedures, laboratory results, waste
characterization, and disposal.
