hir"l
California Materials, Inc.
Spill Prevention Control and
r•rux...uaws
Countermeasures Plan
November 2018
If a spill were to occur (outside of the spill pallet) the oil would be
contained and cleaned up. Absorbent (loose) material and pads would be
used to clean up the spill.
For minor spills, the shop crew would clean up. For larger spills, Ramos
Environmental Service would be called to clean up and remove any
contaminated material.
The facility does not have any electric transformers, underground storage
tanks, no portable generators (gen-sets), and no oil pits or retention
ponds.
Spill cleanup supplies are located in the shop area. Supplies include
absorbent (loose) material and absorbent pads. Table 6 summarizes these transfer areas.
• The 10,000-gal. tank has its own fuel transfer port located at the north
side of the containment wall. This transfer area is used to refill the
10,000-gal. diesel tank.
• The vehicle and equipment refueling area is located in the center of the
facility yard, near the truck parking area. There are three fuel
dispensers controlled by a kiosk.
• The used oil storage area is located immediately to the right of the
maintenance shop entryway. This is where the used oil is stored.
351 Page
