TM <br /> Banks 'Water Well Report <br /> IF- <br /> Infcrrnation <br /> ' __ Solutions, Inc SUMMARY <br /> Water Well Report'"Research Mapping Protocol <br /> The Banks Information Solutions,Inc Water Well Report' Is prepared from existing state water well databases and <br /> additional file datalrecords research conducted at Texas'regulatory authorities.Submission of driller's log records upon <br /> completion of a drilled water well became mandatory in 1985 The state of Texas has processed these records into several <br /> different filing systems within two state regulatory authorities The water well files,records and map locations are <br /> maintained by the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission(TNRCC)and the Texas Water Development <br /> Board(TWDB) Actual water well site locations of this report are geocoded and geoplotted directly from the drilling <br /> records,drilling schedules,and drillees logs and maps submitted by the water well driller and maintained at these two <br /> primary water well regulatory authorttle&Below is a description of the four filing systems utilized for well drilling records. <br /> Texas Water Development Board(TWDB) <br /> Texas Water Development Board maintains a file system of located water well locations These well files are water well site <br /> locations that have been verified with a field Inventory Inspection by TWDB personnel The wells are assigned a State <br /> Identification Number unique to that well and plotted on county base maps,if S G S 7 5 minute topographical quadrangle <br /> maps,and in-house geographic Information system Records will also include analytical data attached with each drilling <br /> record This is the current protocol for maintaining water well records within the TWDB <br /> Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) <br /> The Texas Natural Resource Conservation Camrnlssion maintains a file system of plotted,partially numbered,And un- <br /> numbered water well locations.Plotted water well files are water well site locations that have been determined from map <br /> information submitted on water well logs and subsequently plotted on TWDS county highway base maps This type of <br /> mapping and filing procedure ceased in June 1986 Partially numbered water well files are water well site tocatlons <br /> processed from 1586 through 1990 These yells are provided a State identification Number which establishes the well <br /> location somewhere within a 25 minute quadrant of a 7 5 minute quadrangle map,but the site location has never been <br /> precisely mapped or verified by a State of Texas staff member Un-numbered water well files are water well site locations <br /> that have been processed since June 1990 These well records are filed solely on their county location and are not <br /> provided a State Identiflation Number nor are they mapped This Is the current protocol for maintaining water well records <br /> vAthin the TNRCC <br /> Disclaimer <br /> Banns Information Solutions,Inc.has performed a thorough and difigent search of all wells recorded with the Texas Water <br /> Development Board and the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission All mapped locations are based on <br /> information obtained from the TWDB and the TNRCC Although Banks performs quality assurance and quality control on <br /> all research projects,we recognize that any Inaccuracies of the records and mapped well locations could possibly be <br /> traced to the appropriate regulatory authority or the water well driller Many water well schedules may have never been <br /> submitted to the regulatory authority by the water well driller and,thus,may explain the possible unaccountability of <br /> private drilled wells it is uncertain if the above listing provides 100%of the existing well locations within the area of <br /> review Therefore,Banks Information Solutions,Inc cannot gaurantee the accuracy of the data or well location(s)of those <br /> maps and records maintained by Texas'regulatory authorltles. <br /> P O Bou 92859, Capitol Station, Austin,TX 78791 <br /> 1701 Nueces, Austin, TX 78701 <br /> 512.478,0059 FAX 592 478 9433 e-mail banks@banksinfo cam <br /> 0 Copyright 1998 by Banks Information Solutions, Inc <br />
