INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Ellis Cecchim of Cecchmi, Cecchini and Giovannom, Advanced <br /> Geo Environmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this report for field work performed at 3535 East <br /> Cherokee Road, Stockton, California,during the third quarter of 2002 The scope of work included <br /> abandoning one ground water monitoring well, conducting a quarterly ground water monitoring <br /> event and preparation of this report <br /> The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Structures, monitoring well and soil boring locations are <br /> illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 Background information was summarized in the AGE-prepared <br /> Problem Assessment Report, dated 16 August 2001 <br /> At the request of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD),Cherokee Truck <br /> Stop quarterly ground water monitoring events are coordinated to occur concurrently with ground <br /> water monitoring activities at the adjacent Moore Truck Lines property(3400 Newton Road) <br /> • 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> One monitoring well was abandoned on 30 July and six ground water monitoring wells and the large <br /> on-site domestic well were purged and sampled on 29 August 2002 Field work was performed in <br /> accordance with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)and EHD <br /> guidelines for the investigations of underground storage tank(UST)sites and sampling ground water <br /> monitoring wells, respectively <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL ABANDONMENT <br /> Ground water monitoring well UST-1 was abandoned on 30 July 2002 by over-drilling to total depth, <br /> the over-drilling was performed by Woodward Drilling Company Following over-drilling, the <br /> boring was backfilled to surface grade with portland cement in accordance with EHD regulations, <br /> the grout mixture was prepared utilizing a ratio of six gallons water for every 94-pound sack of <br /> portland cement <br /> 2 2 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> On 29 August 2002, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water <br /> • relative to the tops of the well casings in six monitoring wells in the area of the former UST <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
