INTRODUCTION
At"'the the request of Mr Ellis Cecchmi of Cecchmi, Cecchinn and Giovannom, Advanced
I GeoEnvn-onmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this report for field work performed at 3535 East
Cherokee Road, Stockton, California, during the third quarter of 2001 The scope of work included
monitoring the ground water well network on the site and sampling the small and large domestic
well This report documents collection and analysis of ground water samples and the results of
ground water measurements
The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Structures, monitoring well and soil boring locations are
illustrated'in Figures 2 and 3 Background information was summarized in the Quarterly Report -
' September 1999, dated 29 December 1999, prepared by AGE
I2.0. PROCEDURES
. Six ground_water _monitoring wells and two domestic wells were purged and sampled on
18 September 2001 Field work was perforrned in accordance with the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage
tank (UST) sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells
I2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION PROCEDURES
A Sollnst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water relative to the tops of the
I' well casings in six monntonng wells In the area of the former UST locations The ground water
elevation in each well and ground water flow direction for the site were determined from the data
Icollected (Table 1)
After measuring ground water depths, rrmonntonng well UST-1 was purged using a 2-inch Grundfos
submersible purge pump Monitoring wells UST-2 through UST-6 were purged using new
disposable plastic bailers Approximately 75 gallons of water were purged from UST-1 and
approximately 5 to 9 5 gallons of water were removed from wells UST-2 through UST-6 (a "
minimum of three casing-water volumes per well) Ground water was purged from near the top of
the water column to remove water trapped within the unscreened interval of the well casings
Temperature,pH and conductivity ofpurged water were measured at regular intervals during purging
Iusing an Oakton water analyzer The recorded field data and logs are included in. Appendix A
Purged water was stored on-site in 55-gallon DOT-approved chums pending laboratory analysis
Advanced GeoEnviro=enta4 Inc
■
