Cecchuu, Cecchtnr, and Giovannani, Fueling Island
4.0 Res uR is
4.1 Ground Water Devadoun Data
Ground water elevations measured in monitoring wells UST-1 through UST--4 on September 6,
1995 are presented in Table 1 The average depth to ground water (as measured from the top of
casing for each monitoring well) was approximately 68 9 feet below ground surface (bgs) The
ground water level noted this quarter have drooped approximately 0 9 feet since last quarter No
free product was observed in any of the wells
Figure 3 - Ground Water Elevations shows ground water flow beneath the site on September 6,
1995, to be toward the north to northeast over the entire site and locally towards UST-1 at a
gradient of approximately 0 025 feet per foot (132 feet per mile) The gradient appears flatter in
the northern portion of the site The difference in gradient is likely due to pumping influences of
the onsite wells The findings are consistent with the data of previous monitoring events ESE
observed that the well box for well UST-1 had broken again and was in need of repair The
remaining ground water monitoring wells appeared in good condition This flow direction is
similar to regional flow direction interpreted from San Joaquin County Spring 1994 Ground Water
Report Maps (San Joaquin County Flood, 1994)
4.2 Gu-o undl Water Anaâ¢yfneaR Results
The ground water sample from UST-1 was analyzed at the laboratory for
o Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D) using EPA Method 3550/8015
Modified, and
o Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) using EPA Method 503018015,
Total y
and `
0 Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylenes (BTEX) using EPA Method
5030/8020
The trip blank was only analyzed for BTEX Analytical results for wells UST-1 through UST-4
are listed in Table 2 - Summary of Ground Water Samples Analytical Results The certified
analytical reports are presented in (Appendix B) On September 6, 1995, ground water from
UST-1 was reported to contain only TPH-D at a concentration of 120 micrograms per liter (µg11)
TPH-D was reported as non-detect in ground water samples collected from monitoring wells UST-
f 169254001gtrly rptl3gtt95 rpt $ Environmental science&Engineering, Inc
Q
