3.0 FRN DINGS
3 1 DOMESTIC WELL RESEARCH
There are two domestic water supply wells at the site and designated as "Small Well" and
"Large Well" on Figure 2 ESE contacted the California Department of Water Resources
(DWR) and requested information concerning the onsite water supply wells The DWR had
a record of only one well at the site drilled in 1954 This well is designated as "Lar e.ell"
Well construction information shows the well casing is 10 inches in diameter unperforate
to 0 feet depth below ground surface (bgs) From 120 to 129 feet, the well is uncased
No records are available for a second well, delineated as "Small well" on Figure 2 DeJesus
Well and Pump was contracted by Mr Cecchini, site owner, to replace the small well pump
due to pump failure During pump replacement, the well was shut down, which provided
the opportunity to investigate the well using a downhole video camera This work was
performed on March 10, 1994 ESE was present during the video work and made the
following observations
is cased with 6-inch diameter steel casin from round surface toThe6;
g g ,
a depth of 67 feet bgs From 67 to 149 feet bgs the well is cased with 4-inch
diameter steel casing
The downhole video showed a large amount of scaling on the casco throughout No
g g g g
Gil
perforation were observed in the casing and it is likely that if any are present, they
are almost completely plugged The casing ends at a depth of 149 feet bgs The well
®
is open below 149 feet to a depth of 150 feet bgs DeJesus Well and Pump believes
l that the majority of the water is likely from this interval
Water level measurement ports were installed on both the Small and Large Well at the
site A flowmeter was installed on the "Small Weil" discharge line.
F\6925 W\lgmr94 rpt 4 Environmental Science&Engineenng,Inc
