Mr. Cecchim
August 24, 1993
Page 4
Nondetectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were reported in the adjacent
water supply wells. These results seem to indicate that migration of petroleum hydrocarbons
is not occurring to these wells. The results of the drinking water analysis verify that the
ground water is of drinking water quality in accordance with Title 22 California Code Of
Regulations The analysis performed satisfies the requirements for sampling of nondomestic
drinking water supplies in San Joaquin County and also PIIS-EIS requirements for the
underground tank program
Recommendations
ESE recommends continued quarterly monitoring of all monitoring wells at the site 'The
recommended monitoring program is as follows.
a Quarterly water level measurements in all monitoring wells and water supply wells
if possible,
0 Quarterly ground water sampling with analysis for TPI -as gasoline and diesel and
ETEX in well UST--1,
Quarterly reporting of all site activities related to the underground tank area(fueling
island).
aESE recommends suspension of interim remedial activities for fourth quarter 1993. If fourth
quarter monitoring shows an increase in TPx in the well then ESE will recommend
additional interim remediation.
It is our understanding that Mr Ray Borges of PISS-El will be issuing a letter by October
1993, detailing the monitoring and sampling requirements for nonpublic water supply wells
in the county in accordance with the new public water supply monitoring program. ESE
recommends that these requirements be followed for the two water supply wells on site.
ESE also recommends that the well logs and other information regarding the two water
supply wells be compiled and reported in the next quarterly report
0 0 0 0 0
Our professional services have been performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily
exercised under similar circumstances by other hydrogeologists and engineers practicing in
this field No other warranty, express or implied, is made as to the professional advice in
this report
lJ
