Mr. Cecchinni
October 20, 1992
Page 3
CON(C LUSIGNS
Analyses the a ground water sample collected from well UST-1 in September 1992 showed
detectable concentrations of TPI-g, TPI -d, and BTEX higher than detected in 1990.
However, these higher concentrations are probably due to leakage of runoff water through
the former broken well box. Since the well box has been repaired, data to be collected
during the next three quarters should reflect petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations, if
detected, in the ground water.
In order to further assess the significance of petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in well
US's'-1, ESE will continue to conduct quarterly monitoring activities at the site. These
activities will include measuring thf.ground water levels in the four on-site wells and purging
and sampling well UST-1 during the third week in December 1992, March 1993, and June
1993.
0 0 0 0 0
Our professional services have been performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily
exercised under similar circumstances by other hydrogeologists and engineers practicing in
Q this field.
