I ♦ 4'^`A, y •1, I ; r '34• , S+A i1r i' E ,I J x I ' I .- Page 3 of 4 z, r IT t 31 ' GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT f Ground water elevation increased an average 149 feet at'the,site since-the 20 December' 2000 �r monitoring event Ground water flow direction was inferred to be northeasterly with a gradient of I f approximately 0 001 feet/feet The flow direction is consistent to that of the previous monitoring ' event Figure 4 depicts the ground water elevation contours for March 2001 r ` 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES TPH=g,,benzene,toluene and ethylbenzene were detected in the water sample collected from UST-5 ;at concentrations of 730 nucrograms per liter (µg/l), 93 µg/l, 2'l gg/1 and'O 91 lig/l, respectively ' Benzene was detected in the sample collected from UST-1 at a concentration of 6 2 gg/1 Toluene ; was detected in samples collected from UST-6 and the small domestic well at concentrations of 1 2 µg/l and 0 56 µg11, respectively However, BTEX was not detected in a confirmation sample collected on 25 April 2001 from the small domestic well Total xylenes were detected Iin the water sample collected from UST-6 at a concentration of 0 52 leg/l ,TPH-d was detected in the samples ` ' .' collected from UST-1, UST-3, UST-5 and UST-6 at concentrations as high as 620 gg/1 (UST-5) , TPH-dwas also detected in the Iarge domestic well at 270 gg/l, however TPH-d was not detected ry E in a confirination sample collected on 25 April 2001 MTBE was detected in the water sample collected from UST-6 at a concentration of 1 3 µg/1 No other fuel oxygenated compounds were detected above laboratory reporting levels in the ground water samples collected this quarter The laboratory report (MAI Lab IDs 64154 through,64161, 66696 and 66697) and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B Analytical results of water samples collected in March and April 2001,are summarized on Table 2 The analytical results of all water samples are suiiimarized on Table 3 Ground water samples were not analyzed for`chlornaated hydrocarbons during this quarter 4.0.
