INTRODUCTION
f,
At the request of Mr Ellis Cecchini of Ceccluni, Cecchini and Giovannoni, Advanced
' GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this report for field work performed at 3535 East
a Cherokee Road, Stockton, California, dunng the fourth quarter of 2000 The scope of work this
' quarter Included monitoring the ground water well network on the site and sampling the small and
large domestic well This report documents collection and'analysis of ground water samples and'the
results of ground water measurements
4 The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Structures, monitoring well and soil boring Locations are
illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 Background information was summarized in the Quarterly Report -
' September 1999, dated 29 December 1999, prepared by AGE
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
Six ground water monitoring wells and two domestic wells were purged and sampled on 20
December 2000 Field work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health
Services -Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for sampling ground water monitoring wells and
investigating underground storage tank (UST) sites
21 WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 20 December 2000 the small and large domestic wells on-site were sampled for volatile organic
1 compounds To purge the large domestic well, a drain valve was opened on the water storage tank
The pump was allowed to cycle on and off for approximately 15 minutes 'To purge the small`
' domestic well, a faucet between the well and the water holding tank was opened to allow the pump
to cycle for approximately 15 minutes
' On 20 December 2000,,a Solis st water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
relative to the tops-of the well casings In six monitoring wells in the area of the former UST
locations and one well at 3400 Newton Road The ground water elevation in each well and ground
water flow direction for the site were determined from the data collected(Table 1)
1
After measunng'ground water depths, monitoring wells UST-1 through UST-6 were purged'using
ta Grundfos submersible purge pump Approximately 87 gallons of water were purged from UST-1
• and approximately 9 to 13 gallons of water were removed from wells-UST-2 through UST-6 (a
minimum of three standing casing-water volumes per well) Ground water was purged from near the
r - Advanced GeoEnvirnnmental,Inc
1
Y
1 4
• 1 n
