Quarterly Report - Second Quarter 2000 <br /> CHEROKEE TRUCK STOP <br /> 3535 East Cherokee Road, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> I At the request of Mr Ellis Cecchini of Cecchini, Cecchim and Giovannoni, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this report for field work performed at 3535 East <br /> Cherokee Road, Stockton, California, during the second quarter of 2000 The scope of work this <br /> quarter included monitoring the ground water well network on the site and sampling the small and <br /> large domestic wells This report documents collection and analysis of ground water samples and <br /> the results of ground water measurements <br /> The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Structures, monitoring well and soil boring locations are <br /> illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 Background information was summarized in the Quarterly Report- <br />' September 1999, dated 29 December 1999, prepared by AGE <br />' 2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> Six ground water monitoring wells and two domestic wells were purged and sampled on 14 June <br /> 2000 Field work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for sampling monitoring wells and investigating underground <br /> storage tank (LIST) sites <br /> 21 WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> On 14 Tune 2000,a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water relative <br /> to the tops of the well casings in six monitoring wells in the area of the former UST locations, three <br /> wells that are part of an unrelated investigation on the subject property,and one well at 3400 Newton <br /> Road The ground water elevation in each well and hydraulic gradient for the site were determined <br /> from the data collected (Table 1) <br /> After measuring depths to ground water,monitoring wells UST-1 through UST-6 were purged using <br /> a Grundfos submersible purge pump Approximately 100 gallons of water were purged from UST-1 <br /> and approximately 12 to 16 gallons of water were removed from wells UST-2 through UST-6 (a <br /> minimum of three casing-water volumes) Ground water was purged from near the top of the water <br /> column to remove water trapped within the unscreened interval of the well casings Temperature, <br /> pH and conductivity of purged water were measured at regular intervals during purging using a <br /> Hydac water analyzer The recorded field data and logs are included in Appendix A Purged water <br /> was stored on-site in 55-gallon DOT-approved drums pending laboratory analysis <br /> Advanced GeoEnvtronmental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
