r11 December 2000
AGE-NC Project No 97-0312
' The ground water gradient was 0 005 ft/ft across the site
• TPH-g, TPH-d, and benzene were detected in the water samples collected from UST-1 and
UST-5,TPH-d was detected in UST-2 and UST-3 samples Hydrocarbons were not detected
' in the water samples collected from UST-4 and UST-6
• MTBE was detected in the samples collected from UST-2 and UST-6 at concentrations of
' 2 6 µg/1 and 1 1 µg/1, respectively
0 1,2-DCA was detected in the samples collected from UST-5 and UST-6 at concentrations of
' 910 µg/1 and 2 1 µg/l, respectively, exceeding the State of California dnnking water
maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 0 5 µg/1
• 1,1-DCA and PCE was detected in the sample collected from the small domestic well at
'1 concentrations of 13 µg/1 and 6 4µg/1,respectively,exceeding the MCL of 5 0 µg/1 for PCE
1
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon data obtained from the site, AGE recommends
a Collection of a confirmation water sample from the small domestic well to verify the PCE
' concentrations detected If the conformation sample indicates the detection ofPCE,the small
domestic well should be turned off to allow only the large well to supply the property with
' water, and
• An oxygen releasing compound (ORC) should be considered for injection into UST-5 and
utilized as a catalyst for bioremediation of UST-5
1
6.0. LIMITATIONS
1 1
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
' environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from
' a limited number of available data points (i e ground water samples)and subsurface conditions may
vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the
professional recommendations contained in this report
1
Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc
