She report appears to take into
account our comments discussed at our meeting on 15 March 1988.
The workplan is approved with the following
conditions/recommendations:
1. For those samples to be composited, we recommend field
compositing in order to provide the Regional Board split samples
which are as homogenous as possible to those being submitted by
Delta Truck Sales for analyses. Also, the submission of
unidentified duplicates by Delta Truck Sales for analyses would
then be possible.
2. Analyses for purgeable organics and total petroleum
hydrocarbons must be conducted from undisturbed brass tubes. One
sample from the center of each quadrant should be sufficient.
Method detection limits must be at or below the state action
levels for drinking water.
3 . A boring permit is required by the San Joaquin Local Health
District. Please call (20 9) 466-6781 for further information.
4. Excessive screen length on the monitoring well should be
avoided.
5. Final well purging with a bailer may minimize the disturbance
of the well water and potential .loss of volatile constituents.
Once purged, groundwater samples for volatile organics should be
taken prior to the other samples, to minimize additional
turbulence of the water from the bailer.
Please contact this office at least one week prior to the onset
of site work so we may be present during excavation and sampling.
Imay be reached at (916) 361-5726 if you have any questions.
Patricia H.
