i L \
7.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
As a result of this Phase II Environmental Site Assessment, the following
conclusions can be made:
• Four soil borings were drilled and sampled to a depth of 20 feet bgs in the
vicinity of the former UST.
• One soil sample per boring, collected at or below the groundwater interface,
L was submitted for analysis of TPH-G and BTEX.,
• Analytical results indicated that TPH-G and BTEX were not detected in the
soil above the analytical detection limits.
Three of the four soil borings were completed as groundwater monitoring
wells.
• Depth to groundwater measurements taken fro',m these wells indicated the
l groundwater table at seven to eight feet bgs.
• The groundwater flow gradient, calculated from depth to water measurements
and well survey data, was determined to be toward the north.
• Two episodes of groundwater sampling were performed, and samples were
submitted for analysis of TPH-G and BTEX.
• Analytical results indicated that TPH-G and BTEX were not detected in the
groundwater above the analytical detection limits.
.." Soil and groundwater do not appear to be affected- by. petroleum products
associated with the former UST.
Based on the results and conclusions presented inthis Phase 11 Environmental
Site Assessment, PSI recommends no further subsurface investigations. In
addition, PSI recommends that Suburban Propane submit this report to the
SJCEHD and request site closure.
}
1
12 _
