© MONTGOMERY WATT •.
1plovil
May 11, 1993 ppR 0 41994
Margaret Lagorio ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
San Joaquin County Public Health Services pERMITISERVICES
Environmental Health Division
PO Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
Enclosed are the completed Permit Applications, Request for Services, and the Priority
Request forms for the upcoming CPT Investigation at DDRW-Tracy in San Joaquin
County. I have also enclosed a check for$440, which covers the$89 application fee, $234
for review of the work plan, and a priority request fee of$117.
The activities planned during the Remedial Investigation at DDRW -Tracy include drilling
60 cone penetrometer holes at 30 locations; each location will have a profile hole and a
sampling hole. Eighteen CPT locations are located on the DLA property (DDRW-Tracy
and Tracy Annex). The remaining holes are on adjacent parcels owned by 4 other parties.
The enclosed permit application does not include the CPT locations on private property;
separate application forms for each parcel/owner will be submitted next week. CPT holes
will be up to 150 feet below ground surface. The diameter of the CPT holes will be 1.75
inches. A copy of the CPT work plan (Section 2 only) is enclosed.
The CPT subcontractor is Fugro Geosciences of Houston, Texas. The Montgomery
Watson project manager, Gary Enloe, has requested that Fugro Geosciences confine that
their license and insurance information is currently on file with San Joaquin County.
I understand that a representative of SJCPHS Environmental Health Division will need to
observe the backfilling/grouting of the CPT holes. We will make every effort to keep you
apprised of our schedule. The site contact will be John Schumann. His number at the field
office is (209) 832-0891. Site operations are currently scheduled to begin on April 11,
1994.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to
contact Gary Enloe or John Schumann at our Salt Lake City office at 801/272-1900.
Sincerely,
I
/A (v V' U h p
Nancy Barnes
Enc.
cc: Gary Enloe (Montgomery Watson SLC-1)
James Taylor(CVRWQCB)
365 Lennon Lane Tel:510 975 3400 Serving the World's Environmental Needs /
Walnut Creek,Cafdornia Fax:510 975 3412
94596-2427
