Box 960001 <br /> Stockton, CA 95296-0710 <br /> DRAFT GROUND WATER MODELING WORK PLAN, DEFENSE DISTRIBUTION REGION <br /> WEST (DDRW), TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> We have reviewed the Draft Ground Water Modeling Work Plan for DDRW, Tracy submitted on <br /> 7 July 1993. We approve of the Work Plan and request that DDRW, Tracy proceed with <br /> development of a ground water flow and contaminant transport models. We believe that <br /> development of these models will aid in the design of effective extraction and disposal systems for <br /> the ground water remedial action. <br /> Our major concern with the Work Plan is that it did not specify how the modeling effort will be <br /> used to demonstrated compliance with Chapter 15 and Resolution No. 92-49. DDRW, Tracy has <br /> committed to comply with these requirements in the Record of Decision (ROD) for Operable Unit <br /> No. 1 (OU-1). <br /> We request that DDRW, Tracy present status reports on model development at future Project <br /> Manager's Meetings in order to solicit agency input prior to finalization.
