State of California Department of Toxic Substances Control <br /> Memorandum <br /> To : Jim Pinasco Date: October 22, 1992 <br /> Waste Management Engineer <br /> Site Mitigation Branch <br /> From Geologic Support Unit <br /> 10151 Croydon Way, Suite 3 <br /> 255-3695 <br /> Subject: Defense Depot Tracy Well Abandonment <br /> Activity Requested <br /> Per your request to the Geologic Support Unit (GSU) , the <br /> Draft Well Evaluation and Abandonment Engineering Report, <br /> Defense Distribution Region West, Tracy, California (Draft <br /> Report) dated July 1992 by Woodward Clyde has been <br /> reviewed. <br /> Review Activities <br /> Review activities consisted of reading the Draft Report, <br /> referring to a professional paper regarding sonic wave train <br /> display and analysis, consulting with Bill Owen, R.G. of the <br /> Department of Toxic Substances Control headquarters office, and <br /> interpreting the geophysical logs contained in the Draft <br /> Report. <br /> Comments and Recommendations <br /> Comment 1 <br /> The Draft Report is signed by Michael Sartor, P.E. ; <br /> however, the expiration date on the stamp is 9-30-91. The <br /> license apparently has expired according to the stamp. <br /> Recommendation <br /> The report should be signed by a currently licensed civil <br /> engineer (or registered geologist) . If a civil engineer signs, <br /> it should be stamped with a stamp which is current. <br />
