Box 960001
Stockton, CA 95296-0250
RE: Evaluation of Detection Limits for the DDRW-Tracy
Comprehensive RI/FS Work Plan
Dear Marshall :
As agreed during the dispute resolution meeting of August 4 ,
1992 , EPA is providing a list of "obvious" detection limit
inadequacies (see attached tables) in the Comprehensive RI/FS
Work Plan. As also agreed, EPA is providing this information on
or before the end of August 1992 .
A review of the attached tables reveals that many of the
detection limits for groundwater appear to be inadequate for
Baseline Risk Assessment (BRA) purposes. For the soils, listed
detection limits for dioxins appear to be clearly inadequate for
BRA purposes, for any scenario.
On August 4 , 1992 , DDRW-Tracy agreed to attempt to correct
detection limit inadequacies prior to field sampling. Please
contact me at (415) 744-2392 should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Michael Work
Project Manager (H-9-1)
Federal Facilities Enforcement Branch
Office of Superfund
Attachments
cc: (See Distribution List)
Prived on Renrled Paper
