Creel <br /> Commander <br /> 25600 South Chrisman Road <br /> Tracy, CA 95376-5000 <br /> Dear Colonel Creel: <br /> APPROVAL OF THE REMEDIAL ACTION PLAN FOR THE TRACY FACILITY <br /> This letter is to notify you that the Remedial Action Plan <br /> (RAP) for the interim ground water treatment system at the <br /> Tracy facility has been adopted. The Department of Health <br /> Services (Department) has determined that the RAP <br /> satisfactorily addresses all applicable state and federal <br /> statutes and regulations. <br /> Enclosed please find the Department' s summary of the RAP. <br /> Included in the summary are; an evaluation of technologies <br /> considered for treatment, an explanation of the selected <br /> treatment technology, and specifications of it's performance. <br /> The Department' s RAP summary also outlines the public comment <br /> process mandated by state and federal law. This process <br /> affords the local community the opportunity to have input on <br /> the remediation of hazardous waste cleanup sites. A second <br /> enclosure to this letter is a listing of public or private <br /> agencies and individuals who ' s comments were solicited <br /> regarding the proposed RAP. Other residents were informed of <br /> the comment period via public notices placed in the local news <br /> paper. The notices informed them of the proposal, locations <br /> for it' s review, and a public meeting that was held on May 23 , <br /> 1990. As no comments were received, the Department has adopted <br /> the RAP without change. <br /> We look forward to working closely with your staff in <br /> implementing the interim ground water treatment system.
