Our concerns have been
informally conveyed to your installation via discussions
during the 19 of January technical meeting and subsequent
phone conversations. Our comments are formalized with this
enclosure.
Our primary comments are focused on the discussions presented
in the reports. These dipcussions were found to be deficient
in both detail and content. Three topics where discussions
need elaboration are:
o the correlation of different sampling media (soil, soil
gas, and groundwater)
o the conclusions regarding contaminants in the soil
(unsaturated zone)
o the recommendations, interpretations, and reduction of
data with respect to hydrogeologic conditions
DHS can not support the conclusions presented unless the
discussions in the Phase 1 Draft Report are expanded upon.
