We briefly discussed the information we need to complete
this process with Jack Haines at DDT, and agreed to make a
written request for the information. Enclosed is a memo which
reviews our efforts to update the requirements, and lists the
information we need at this time. Please submit those items
listed under- "Information Requirements. "
A memo describing the meeting held at DDT on 7 July 1987
concerning the ground water contamination remedial investigation
is also enclosed.
We have recently received a copy of the proposed workplan for
phase 2' of the remedial investigation along with your minutes of
the 7 July 1987 meeting. The following points regarding those
minutes are listed as clarification:
1. We did not agree that "soil boring and soil gas probe
results indicate that at no locations are contaminant
concentrations sufficiently high to warrant remedial
action such as excavation. "
2. We did not agree that 20 soil borings would be
sufficient to further characterize source areas.
We have met with the Department of Health Services to coordinate
our review of the workplan. We discussed our main comments with
Jack Haines by phone on 7 August, and will send written comments
shortly.
If you have any questions concerning this site, please call
Robe t Niblac at (916) 361-5681.
ANTONiA K.
