These comments represent the best professional judgement
of DHS staff concerning the selection of screened intervals for
the proposed off-site wells. Staff realizes that information
with regards to the off-site subsurface is limited and must be
augmented by additional investigation. The Department expects
Defense Depot Tracy to provide technical justification for the
final selection of screened intervals via a workplan proposal.
If you have any questions you may contact me at (916) 924-2154 .
Sincerely,
Jim Pinasco
Waste Management Engineer
Site Mitigation Unit
Enclosure
cc: Mr. Gary Reents
California Regional Quality Control Board, Sacramento
Ms. Diane Hinson
San Joaquin County Local Health District
Mr. Jack Boswell
Division Engineer
U.S. Army Corps Engineers
Huntsville, Alabama 35807
