DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY <br /> DEFENSE DISTRIBUTION DEPOT SAN JOAQUIN <br /> P.O.BOX 95 <br /> CA <br /> STOCKTON.CA 95296 <br /> ALAI <br /> IN REPLY DDJC-FA <br /> REFER TO: April 13,2001 <br /> Mr. Michael Work <br /> U.S.Environmental Protection Agency <br /> Region 9 <br /> 75 Hawthorne Street <br /> San Francisco, CA 94105-3901 <br /> Dear Mr. Work: <br /> Pursuant to the DDJC-Tracy Site Federal Facilities Agreement(FFA), Defense Distribution <br /> Depot San Joaquin(DDJC) requests an extension for the DDJC-Tracy Water Management <br /> Report (secondary), Explanation of Significant Differences(primary), and DSERTS 72 No <br /> Further Response Action Planned (secondary) documents. <br /> These extensions are requested in accordance with Sections 9.2(e) and 26.1 of the FFA. <br /> The Water Management Report extension is requested to respond to a draft document review <br /> comment by Mr. Marcus Pierce of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, who <br /> requested a 60-day review period for the draft final submission, in his January 30, 2001 letter. <br /> The Explanation of Significant Differences extension is requested as agreed during a <br /> coordinating telephone call held between Michael Work and Mr. Dale Clemens on April 9, 2001 <br /> wherein the need for a revised draft final submission prior to a 30 calendar day public notice <br /> period was confirmed. <br /> The DSERTS 72 No Further Response Action Planned extension is needed to adequately <br /> respond to agency review comments on the draft final submission and incorporate changes to the <br /> document resulting from those comments. <br /> Item 20, the Remedial Action Report for Institutional Control Sites on the previous FFA <br /> Schedule was deleted as a result of completion in July 2000. <br /> These changes are included in the enclosed revised FFA Schedule matrix and summarized <br /> below. <br /> Draft Final Document <br /> Item#2 Document Title Submission Finalization <br /> From: Water Mgmt.
