As we discussed on July 18, certain
remedies (e.g. , Northern Depot Soils) covered under this report are
being considered for further modifications to the selected remedies.
Further, there is an ESD currently scheduled for finalization in April
2001 in which DLA plans to modify remedies at sites addressed in this
remedial action report. [We recognize that, if not for recent funding
issues, the ESD would have been finalized prior to our receiving this
remedial action report.] Additionally, a future remedial action
report is scheduled to further document actions at Northern Depot
Soils Area. For these reasons, EPA is recommending that once the
remedies for these particular sites are fully documented in the
appropriate decision document (ROD or ESD) , final, and in place, DLA
resubmit the remedial action report for our review.
