In <br /> addition, the ROD Amendment addresses the Defense Site Environmental Reporting <br /> and Tracking System 72 site which was discovered after the ROD was signed. <br /> Recently, DDJC-Tracy has incorporated Land Use Control (LUC) language developed <br /> by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) into the Installation <br /> Master Plan (IMP) to ensure that future land use will remain industrial. The Department <br /> of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), received the above-mentioned report on <br /> September 30, 2003 and has the following comments: <br /> Comments: <br /> 1.) Page 2-6, section 2.3.6, fourth bullet; This section indicates that periodic <br /> monitoring will be conducted at sites with Institutional Controls. Please add <br /> additional language stating the scope and frequency of monitoring inspections. <br /> These Inspections should be conducted annually at a minimum. <br /> 2.) Page 2-6, section 2.3.7, first sentence; Please add DTSC to this sentence since <br /> DTSC also has a role in the enforcement of the Land Use Covenants. <br /> The energy challenge facing California is real.
