" However, the low-flow sampling guidelines do not <br /> include setting the pump in the zone of greatest hydraulic <br /> conductivity if the lithology varies along the screened interval. <br /> Recommendations <br /> The low-flow sampling guidelines should include setting the <br /> pump adjacent to the zone of the greatest hydraulic conductivity <br /> if the lithology varies along the screened interval rather than <br /> in the center of the screened interval. <br /> 8. Section 2 .4 . 0. 1, Fourth bullet, page 2-6 <br /> The Report states, "Well purging and sampling rates should <br /> be approximately 0. 03 gallons per minute. " However, this rate <br /> appears to be a typographical error because it is so low. <br /> Recommendations <br /> The purging and sampling rate of 0. 03 gallons per minute <br /> should be reviewed and corrected to 0. 3 gallons per minute to be <br /> consistent with earlier text and a pumping rate of approximately <br /> less than 1 liter per minute. <br /> MS.mk <br /> MS4.015/5 <br />
