HydroFocus, Revised Monitoring Well Installation Workplan and
Groundwater Sampling and Analysis Plan, City of Lathrop, dated April 18,
2005.
2. HydroFocus, Addendum Letter dated April 26, 2005 to the Regional Water
Quality Control Board responding to comments for additional information.
Dear Mr. Scherer:
As requested, we have prepared this scope for a groundwater study at the Recycled Water Basin
D in Lathrop, California. The scope of this proposal is based on the above-referenced workplan
and letter prepared by Hydrofocus and approved by the RWQCB.
SCOPE
We propose to install 2 monitoring wells, sample groundwater, and monitor groundwater
elevations at Recycled Water Basin D as per the above-referenced workplan. The purpose of our
services is to provide an evaluation of the groundwater conditions to assist in design and
permitting of the site as a wastewater storage basin.
Monitoring Wells
We propose to utilize the services of a licensed drilling contractor to construct the two referenced
groundwater monitoring wells within the site using a truck-mounted drill rig. The wells will
extend to depths of approximately 32 feet below existing grade. At least 48 hours prior to
drilling the borings, we will mark the site for an Underground Service Alert (USA) utilities
check. The borings will be permitted and backfilled in accordance with San Joaquin County
requirements.
