HydroFocus, Revised Monitoring Well Installation Workplan and Groundwater
Sampling and Analysis Plan, City of Lathrop, dated April 18, 2005.
2. HydroFocus, Addendum Letter dated April 26, 2005 to the Regional Water
Quality Control Board responding to comments for additional information.
Dear Ms. Dell'Osso:
As requested, we have prepared this scope for the installation of one monitoring well and 4
quarters of groundwater sampling at the "Pond E" Project in Lathrop, California. The scope of
this proposal is based on the above-referenced workplan and letter prepared by Hydrofocus and
approved by the RWQCB.
Scope
We propose to install 1 monitoring well (MBRMW-4), sample groundwater, and monitor
groundwater elevations at the installed monitoring well at Recycled Water Basin E as per the
above-referenced workplan. The purpose of our services is to provide an evaluation of the
groundwater conditions to assist in design and permitting of the site as a wastewater storage
basin.
Monitoring Well
We propose to utilize the services of a licensed drilling contractor to construct the referenced
groundwater monitoring well within the site using a truck-mounted drill rig. The well will extend
to a depth of approximately 32 feet below existing grade. At least 48 hours prior to drilling the
borings, we will mark the site for an Underground Service Alert (USA) utilities check. The
borings will be permitted and backfilled in accordance with San Joaquin County requirements.
