• Summary water table elevation data tables for historical (Appendix B) and
current (Table 4) conditions and analytical data tables for historical (Appendix
C) and current (Table 6) conditions.'
• Scaled maps showing relevant structures, features, and monitoring well
locations (Figure 2).
• Copies of laboratory analytical reports for groundwater sampling during
Second Quarter 2010 (Appendix D).
2.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING ACTIVITIES
Personnel from FGL Environmental, Inc. performed the Second Quarter 2010
monitoring activities, which included water level measurements and well-water
sampling. Monitoring well locations are shown in Figure 2. Consistent with the
approved Monitoring and Reporting Program, water levels and water quality are
monitored in all wells. All monitoring was done in accordance with the Monitoring
and Reporting Program No. 5-01-251.
2.1 Groundwater Level Measurements
Groundwater elevations relative to mean sea level (msl) (NAVD 88) were
calculated by subtracting the depth to water from the elevation of the
measurement point at each well. Water levels in the nine WWTF wells were
measured by FGL Environmental, Inc. on May 3, 2010, and water levels in the
four WRP-1 MBR wells were measured by HydroFocus, Inc. in compliance with
the separate WDR Order No. R5-2006-0094 on April 21, 2010. All water levels
were measured using water level sounders accurate to 0.01 foot.
2.2 Well Water Sample Collection and Analysis
The monitoring wells were sampled by FGL Environmental, Inc. on May 3, 2010.
The wells were purged and sampled using a Teflon submersible pump and vinyl
discharge tubing2. The pump, tubing, and power cord were decontaminated prior
to each use. Field parameters (pH, electrical conductivity, and temperature) were
monitored using a YSI Model 556 multimeter and flow cell. Samples were
collected after three casing volumes were purged from the well and field
parameters stabilized. Purged water was disposed of at the well sites.
Table 1 reports the calculated volume of each well casing and the number of
casing volumes purged. Appendix A contains groundwater purging and sampling
logs.
Historical water level and water quality data compiled for this report provided by Veolia West
Operating Services and FGL Environmental, Inc. Available historical data begins in Fourth
Quarter 2002.
2 FGL Environmental, Inc. sampling protocol, written communication, July 31, 2009.
- 6 -
