Ratio of the Sum of Reacting Constituents to Specific Conductance <br /> The ratio of the sum of reacting cations (meq/L) to 0.01 times specific <br /> conductance, as well as the sum of reacting anions (meq/L) to 0.01 times specific <br /> conductance, should be within the range 0.92 to 1.241. This ratio is calculated as <br /> follows: <br /> Sum of reacting cations (or anions) in meq/L <br /> 0.01 x Specific Conductance <br /> Calculation of the sum of reacting constituents requires analysis of the major <br /> cations and anions. Major cations and anions were not analyzed in 3rd Quarter <br /> 2009. Therefore, the sum of reacting constituents and the ratio to specific <br /> conductance could not be evaluated this quarter. The ratio will be evaluated in <br /> future quarters when the required constituents are analyzed. <br /> - E-5 - <br />
