Don Gagnon FERMIT/SERVICES
Gold Bond Building Products
800 West Church Street
Stockton, California 95203
RE : Underground Storage Tank Sampling Results
Dear Don:
Enclosed are the analytical results of six soil samples collected
at the Gold Bond facility. These results are in addition to the
results contained in AEMC's 21 October 1986 report; this sub—
mittal being an addendum to that report.
The additional samples were collected in the product tank exca—
vation at the request of the San Joaquin Local Health District.
Additional samples were collected in the waste tank excavation
to confirm the initial results. Samples were collected with a
hand auger and drive sampler., All other sampling and analysis
procedures are identical to those described in AEMC's 21 October
original report.
As can be seen in the enclosed results, no volatile aromatic
hydrocarbons were detected in any samples. Only one sample,
Number GB-15, contained detectable total hydrocarbons. This
sample contained 300 parts per million in the diesel range.
The results match very closely with those in AEMC's 21 October
report. The absence of aromatic hydrocarbons in the latest
samples is probably due to volatilization from the exposed soil .
Thus, the enclosed results confirm AEMC's previous conclusion
regarding soil contamination contained in our 21 October report.
_9 whnP Tcc. % 70//9161985-0066
