I discussed-the meeting with Jim Munch this morning and we have the
following additions.
1) In lieu of installation of source.area well DM-5 and moving two of the four wells closer to the source area during the
current sand zone investigation,we agreed that the source area definition, including vertical extent, will be addressed
during a subsequent focused source area investigation.
2)We recommended the use of a mobile lab onsite during future fieldwork,to expedite the investigation process by
.evaluating in the field, the placement and number of the borings/wells for optimal collection of data for use in future
decisions/recommendations and updates to the site conceptual model. You indicated concurrence to consideration of a
mobile lab,and we,requested that you check with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department on the
requirements of their boring permits if.the mobile lab data supports advancement/installation of additional
borings/wel.Is during fieldwork. Their Geologist is Nuel Henderson, P.G.,who may be reached at(209)468-3436.
3)In addition to the schedule in the next report,we requested inclusion of milestones to reach case closure. Another
consultant uses Microsoft Project 2010 for scheduling and milestones, and they provide file updates by email to me
when necessary.. I can provide an example if you request it.
Per these emails, I will post 7 January 2013 in GeoTracker as the due date for the sand zone investigation report. Please
contact mein advance of that date if you need additional time to complete the report;as l may revise the due date upon
request.
Also, please submit the work plan for;the agreed focused, source area investigation on the same above due date for the
report, in order to expedite the'investigation, process by my review of the two documents.
Finally, please coordinate with me by phone or email on the schedulefo.r the upcoming field work,as I will make every
effort to be present during the drilling of the four wells.
Thanks again.
Jim Barton
James L.L.
