Geosyntec®
consultants
• Groundwater samples will be collected using the low-flow pump and transferred
into sample containers prepared by the analytical laboratory; and,
• Sample containers.will be sealed, labeled, and then placed in a cooler with ice
for transport to the laboratory.
A blind duplicate sample will be collected from one well. One equipment blank will be
collected during each day of groundwater sampling. Trip blanks consisting of organic-
free, deionized water will be prepared by the laboratory and will accompany the sample
containers during transport to, during, and after sampling. The trip blank sample bottles
will not be opened. Groundwater and QA/QC samples will be handled under standard
chain of custody procedures and will be analyzed for toluene by EPA Method 8260.
.Purged water will be contained in drums, labeled, and remain at the facility, pending
appropriate disposal.
2.3.6 Disposition of Waste Materials
There will be some decontamination water generated during field work in addition to
the purge water and soil cuttings. Before leaving the Site, Geosyntec will collect a
composite sample of the purge water and decontamination water and a composite
sample of the soil cuttings for waste classification. Following classification, the waste
will be disposed of at an appropriate off.-site facility.
2.4 Task 4—Reporting and Recommendations for Follow-up Work
Geosyntec will evaluate the data collected during Tasks 1, 2, and 3 and prepare a report
documenting the work completed and summarizing the results for submittal to the
RWQCB. The report will include CPT and MIP logs for each boring, well construction
logs, analytical results, and summary tables and figures including one or more geologic
cross-sections for the investigation area. Based on the results, conclusions and
recommendations for future work will be made, as warranted.
Final Work Plan.doc 13 27 June 2012
