(AGE).
This letter summarizes the discussions at the meeting.
AGE provided maps and tables of the analytical results of the soil and groundwater
samples obtained when site work was performed from the period of October 6, 1999
to October 21, 1999. PHS/EHD agreed with AGE that additional monitoring wells
would be required to assess the lateral extent of the contamination in the groundwater
and soil in the area of the underground storage tanks (UST), which were removed on
December 29, 1998. The vertical extent of the contamination at the north end of the
former UST excavation appeared to be defined. However, PHS/EHD will provide
comment after the report of the conducted work has been submitted and reviewed. It
was discussed that feasibility studies of corrective action alternatives should be
conducted at the former UST No.3 area at the south end of the site.
The following is a tentative schedule of actions:
1) Submit a report of the work conducted in October 1999 by December 3, 1999.
The report should include the analytical results of the soil physical
characteristics and also a recommendation of the next course of action.
2) Submit a work plan to investigate the extent of the contamination at the UST
cluster and conduct feasibility studies of remedial alternatives by January 2000
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
