(AGE). You copied Jeff Wong in the email since he was the case worker for this site at
that time. I have a copy of your email if you need it. Our department approved an in-situ ozone injection pilot
study by letter dated 17 April 2006. Ozone injections began in December 2006 and continued at this site through
the fourth quarter 2009. Ozone injections were terminated at this site in January 2010.
Our department had asked AGE to provide a feasibility evaluation of ozone injection, air sparging, and chemical
oxidation (such as Regenox) to remediate a another section of this same site where USTs were also removed.
This new section is about 200 feet from the area where ozone was injected for approximately three years.
Referring only to ozone injection, does your agency require additional evaluation of the effects of ozone to comply
with the terms of General Waste Discharge Requirements and the Monitoring and Reporting Program or will the
original bench scale results suffice?
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: ymccartney a@sjcehd com
12/16/2011
