A hazardous waste generator shall not <br />treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without an ID number. If you or your <br />business generates more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous waste and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous <br />waste, then you need to obtain an EPA ID number. All others must obtain a State ID number. Go to the DTSC web <br />site https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ for the form to apply for an ID number. <br />Immediately obtain an ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to the EHD. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br />Observations: Liquid in the parts washer, fine powder in bead blast machine, metal fines in machining equipment, <br />carburetter cleaner solvent in two 5 gallon buckets, pile of oily rags. Any person who generates a waste shall <br />determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for the wastes <br />listed above, and manage according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br />documentation explaining how this waste was managed and all disposal records for each waste. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 119 HSC 25404(e)(4) Failed to report program data in the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS). <br />Facility has not reported the business activities in California Environmental Reporting System (CERS). Immediately <br />go to CERS https://cers.calepa.ca.gov/ to create an account and report business activities. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br />A car was observed outside the shop with a 3ft by 1ft stain of oil underneath the car. Facilities shall be maintained <br />and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface <br />water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean the spill , and manage according to <br />Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste <br />was managed. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br />waste. <br />One open 2 gallon oil drain pan with oil inside and one paper oil filter were observed on site. All hazardous waste <br />containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste.
