I-2.4.5 Artificial Lighting <br /> Wastes are not handled at the EWSF during hours of darkness. However,portable lighting is <br /> available for emergency operations. Exterior lighting is provided for security purposes by <br /> streetlights located across the access road in the vicinity of the entrance to each storage <br /> magazine. <br /> I-2.5 EVACUATION OF THE EWSF <br /> Communication of emergency evacuation of the EWSF can be made by: <br /> • Phone <br /> • Pager <br /> • Radio <br /> The Facility Manager, alternates,senior LLNL Fire Officer,or Site 300 Manager can make an <br /> evacuation announcement. A detailed description of evacuation planning is provided in Section <br /> 11 of this Contingency Plan. In addition,the WCI Site 300 Self-help Plan provides instructions <br /> for explosives waste Facility personnel. <br /> Plans of the Facility showing evacuation routes and alternate evacuation routes are included in <br /> Figure I-2-3. <br /> I-2.6 EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> Response to an emergency at the EWSF is designed to be at a level appropriate to the incident. <br /> Emergency action is defined based on the event and the potential hazard to onsite personnel and <br /> offsite persons. Established procedures for incident scenarios,including fire, explosion and <br /> release response for hazardous material and waste,are described in Section 7, "Emergency <br /> Control Procedures."
