Escalon, 95320 Permit#: Inspection Date: 01/30/2019 <br /> The Environmental Health Department recently conducted a water well pump inspection at the above address <br /> and found the following issues at the time of the inspection. In order to protect the ground water supply and <br /> your water source from potential degradation, please take the associated corrective actions. <br /> 0 Lack of Concrete Platform around Wellhead. <br /> (SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.10.—Surface Seal) <br /> Corrective Action: Install a new concrete platform around the wellhead. <br /> ❑ Lack of or Inadequate Sanitary Seal at Wellhead. <br /> (SJC Ord. Code, Title 9, Section 9-1115.5.—Well Regulations) <br /> Corrective Action: Install a sanitary seal between casing and well cover plate/seal all gaps and <br /> openings. <br /> ❑ Lack of or Inadequate Sampling Tap. <br /> (SJC Water well Standards, Section 4.13.—Sampling Tap) <br /> Corrective Action: Install a non-threaded sampling tap between the wellhead and the check valve <br /> or within three (3) feet of the well head. <br /> ❑ Lack of or Inadequate Backflow Prevention. <br /> (SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.14.—Backflow Prevention) <br /> Corrective Action: Install an approved protective device to prevent backflow and/or back <br /> siphonage into a well. <br /> ❑ Sounding Tube or Air Vent not Sealed. <br /> (SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.13.—Sounding Tube/Air Vent Pipe) <br /> Corrective Action: Sounding Tube or Fill Pipe-Install a watertight, threaded cap at the upper end <br /> of the pipe. Air Vent-extend pipe 12 inches above with end inverted in a <br /> downward direction and covered with 16-mesh screening. <br /> ❑ Excessive Vegetation or debris around Wellhead. <br /> (SJC Ord.
