Main Street <br /> Ripon, CA <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the "Interim <br /> Remedial Action and Groundwater Monitoring Report-Fourth Quarter 2003" dated May <br /> 3, 2004, and "Groundwater Monitoring Report- First Quarter 2004" dated May 4, 2004, <br /> prepared by ATC Associates for the above referenced site. The May 4, 2004, report <br /> recommends the site be considered for closure. EHD discussed the site with Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br /> The deeper aquifer below this site has been contaminated by former activities at the <br /> Nestle plant in Ripon so the City of Ripon's public supply well #4 located 300 feet north <br /> of this site is not currently being used. In order to consider this site for closure a No <br /> Further Action Required (NFAR) Report should be prepared using Tri-Regional Board <br /> Staff Recommendations Appendix A as a guidance document. This document can be <br /> found on the CVRWQCB internet site at <br /> http://www.swrcb.ca.gov/-rwgcb5/available documents/ug tanks/Tri- <br /> Regionals Appendix-A.pdf.
